“Come! They are praying for the sick in the Name of Jesus!”

People were shouting to one another, “Come! They are praying for the sick in the Name of Jesus!” There was such excitement! Many people were shouting, and pushing and shoving - in order to be prayed for. We prayed together with them to accept Jesus. There was so much anticipation and happiness in the air. We prayed for one lady who was living in a one room home. We were told that she had an extremely large hospital bill, and was still not well. Upon entering the shack, a relative lifted her to her feet with great effort. After we prayed, we told her to stand, and she did! The Lord Jesus healed her!

He had a dream. He would open his eyes…

Hamid called into the Prayer Hotline to receive his New Testament. We invited him to a local fellowship. Two weeks later, Hamid had a dream from 12:00 to 4:00 in the morning - during which he was being read to from the New Testament. During that time, he would open his eyes and the dream would stop. He would close his eyes, and the dream would begin again. In the morning, he woke up, fell on his knees, and repented before the Lord. Today, he is married and moving on with the Lord.

Tulay sobbed and sobbed…

Please pray for Tulay, who said that she came to the Lord by reading a NT. She called and wants a visit, because she lives in Eastern Turkey. The next week, to follow her up, we called and she sobbed and sobbed over the phone. She explained how her husband had taken another woman, and driven her and her son out of the house. In the midst of her deep pain, Tulay is finding comfort in reading her NT and in her relationship with the Lord.

Mustafa called the Prayer Hotline saying that he had retired as a teacher, and had put all his savings in the bank. Imar Bank then went bankrupt, and he lost all his savings. Being very depressed, he asked that we would pray for him. After being prayed for, he was very thankful and asked if he could call again, and be prayed for again. We told him - of course we’ll pray for him again! We sent him a New Testament. The following week, Mustafa called. This time, he prayed the prayer of salvation – committing his life to the Lord. When we asked him over the phone what’s happening, he said, “Promise me you won’t laugh, but I am crying!” Mustafa has started to come to our church.

But no! They waited in vain…

Vedat got a New Testament, and began to read, and evaluate it against his communistic background. He was a contributor to a communist newspaper, but realized that the New Testament was the Truth. Vedat committed his life to the Lord. After smoking cigarettes since age 12, he instantly was able to quit. In vain, all his relatives who knew his problem were waiting for him to start smoking again. But no! They waited in vain…

Murat, who has served 8 years in jail for terrorist activities, received a New Testament through one of our NT Distribution outreaches. Murat says that he became a Christian after reading the New Testament, and because it is a “Book of love”. The terrorist organization sent two men to kidnap him, and make him work again for the organization. He began to pray and the two kidnappers froze - standing still in their tracks. He was then able to escape! Murat joined our team, and is working together with us in many outreaches.

Sukru had a dream in the night that…

Sukru called in to thank us after receiving a Turkish New Testament and a Jesus VCD. He said it had just arrived by mail. He was so excited as he was explained about a dream that he had the previous night. He saw a shining angel in white, bringing him food. We told him that the Bible says, “Man does not live by bread alone, but by every Word that proceeds out of the mouth of God”. We told him to read his NT everyday. He is 26 years old. Please pray for him.
